Travel time allotted in the $20 initial travel fee includes one way travel time up to 20 minutes. After the first 20 minutes, I charge $10/additional 10 minutes of travel time. This includes high traffic times.
For example: If my drive time is 35 minutes away, an additional $20 will be added to the total, for the additional 15 minutes.
It is important to remember that mobile massage does encounter travel issues from time to time. I am often traveling from home to home, so predicting traffic trends can be difficult. If I am later that 15 minutes to the start time of the session, I will take off the initial travel fee of $20 from the session.
I understand that life happens, as does the occasional need to cancel. I ask my clients to try to give me at least 48 hours notice for cancellations. In the event that a client needs to cancel with less than 24 hours notice, the cancellation fee will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Clients that cancel with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to cancellation fee of 50% the cost of the service for the first time (i.e., is a clients booked an in-home session that costs $100, the cancellation fee in this event will be $50.).
If a client cancels with less than 24 hours notice, or no-shows to multiple sessions the fee is subject to become 100% of the session costs, and I may require a 50-100% deposit before future sessions.
These are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
No fees will occur for these cancellations.
My schedule is limited, therefore I prioritize regular clientele by ensuring my recurring client list does not exceed my available massage hours. Due to this, clients that excessively cancel sessions with me may lose priority in my schedule.
My time is valuable, and I will not allow any client to frequently waste it.
In the midst of the pandemic, I am still asking clients with flu/cold symptoms to get a negative covid-19 test to ensure my safety. It's simple: if I get sick, I cannot work. I am understanding that people may have allergies and residual coughs among other symptoms. I have no issues with clients coming in with "the sniffles", given there is no suspect of covid-19 and the client is willing to wear a mask when lying face up.
If I am sick, I will uphold the same expectations. I will also call clients same day to give them the options to reschedule if they do not feel comfortable with me having a cough/sniffles. These cancellations will not be subject to the cancellation policy. If I am sick and okay to work, the client gets the choice if they want to still get a massage with me wearing a mask, or if they would like to reschedule.
Do you have a massage session booked, but you forgot to take the trash out this morning and now your significant other is going to be pissed? I have no problem with clients substituting other people in for their massages. If there is a switch, I ask that clients text me the contact info of the person taking their session, if it is expected that I do not have their contact info.
I also allow clients to switch appointments, for example: if a husband has a 5:00 and the wife has a 6:15, they are welcome to switch times with each other.
I run a professional massage business, this is not rural Nevada. I do not tolerate any inappropriate behavior whether it be sexual or violent. I am a married, gay, 5'10", and 240lb retired rugby player. I am more than capable to physically stopping this sort of behavior, and have done so in the past. Please respect my profession.
